Man Utd's new signing Alexis Sanchez beats ban on dogs in his 5-star hotel

MANCHESTER United’s new signing Alexis Sanchez has jinked past a  ban on dogs at his five-star hotel.

The Chilean star, 29, has been told his two golden retrievers can stay in the £816-a-night  suite despite a zero tolerance policy on pets.

He has even  posted pics online of pampered mutts  Atom and Humber, dressed in his No7 shirt as they settled in at the Lowry Hotel.

But last night another regular hit out at the hotel for relaxing its no pets rule.

The guest said: “If he was an average Joe they wouldn’t allow it. They can’t change the rules just because a celeb is staying.”

Sanchez has moved into one of the hotel’s six Riverside Suites, which are the largest rooms in Manchester.

Boss Jose Mourinho also lives there and £350,000-a-week star Sanchez’s mum, Martina, has moved in, too.

The hotel’s website states only guide dogs are allowed and staff at reception say no exceptions can be made.

But a spokeswoman admitted  the hotel will look at special  requests if a guest is willing to pay for a deep clean when he or she has left.

She said: “We don’t publicise this as we need to speak directly to the guest and explain the deep cleaning.”
