Bachelorette fans furious after spotting editing blunder that 'spoils' the season's surprise ending

BACHELORETTE fans are furious after they spotted an editing blunder that "spoiled" the season's surprise ending for Gabby Windey.

It comes following the scandals surrounding her fiancé Erich Schwer.

On Tuesday night's live finale of The Bachelorette, viewers first learned that 26-year-old Rachel Recchia's engagement to Tino Franco, 29, quickly fell apart after he cheated.

Gabby, 31, came to visit Rachel and offer some support, but as the two sat down for a heart-to-heart, Gabby flashed the engagement ring on her finger.

This scene aired before viewers learned that the ICU nurse had said 'yes' to her finalist, Erich.

Disappointed fans were quick to share their outrage over the spoiler on Twitter.

"Not The Bachelorette revealing that Gabby got engaged before they actually show that Gabby gets engaged," snarked one.

Another wrote: "Ooops, Bachelorette editors forgot to tell Gabby to take off her ring."

"Thanks for spoiling Gabby’s engagement," posted a third.

"Nice ring, Gabby!" spotted another.

ERICH'S CONTROVERSY

The revelation that Gabby and Erich are engaged comes after he was caught up in two shocking scandals after filming ended.

The former real estate analyst first found himself in hot water earlier this month after a photo resurfaced from his high school yearbook showing him wearing blackface.

A week later, leaked texts from one of Erich's recent ex girlfriends claimed that he went on The Bachelorette for fame.

The messages showed a conversation between herself and the contestant which suggested that he joined the show with the wrong intentions, telling her that The Bachelorette "isn't real".

'KIND OF AN A**HOLE'

Despite the controversy, Gabby and Erich put on a united front during the live finale and revealed that they are very much still engaged.

They sat down with host Jesse Palmer, 43, and updated fans on what has happened between them since the show was filmed.

With plenty of on-screen kisses, they proved to fans that they are very much still in love, despite experiencing some "difficulties" in their relationship.

Addressing the texts from his ex, Erich explained: "I was using the show as an excuse to not confront her about this relationship where I didn’t see a future but I was having fun."

Asked by Jesse whether he believes if the show is "real", he said that he is the "last person" to go on The Bachelorette, but that meeting Gabby "changed everything" and he assured fans that their love is "100%" authentic.

Gabby told Jesse that while she has forgiven Erich for the texts, he was "kind of an a**hole" for the way he broke up with his ex.

"His honesty and willing to take accountability is all I can really ask for," she added.

Jesse did not ask Erich to discuss the blackface photo, although he has previously addressed the image with an Instagram statement.

The Bachelorette winner wrote: "I wholeheartedly apologize for the insensitive photo of me in Blackface from my high school yearbook that has been circulating.

"I was naïve to the hurtful implications of my actions to the Black community and those closest to me, and will forever regret my offensive and damaging behavior."
