Albert Tsai discovered his passion for acting at 7 years old when he participated in a school play. In 2013 he made his television debut on “How I Met Your Mother,” on the Network. A few months later, Tsai landed his breakout role on “Trophy Wife,” which earned him rave reviews and a 2014 Critics Choice Television Awards nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Also, Tsai was named one of Entertainment Weekly’s 12 Best Child Actors of 2015.
His additional television credits include a series regular role in “Dr. Ken,” for which he won the Best Young Actor in a Television Series award at the 2016 Young Entertainer Awards, and guest starring roles in “Hot in Cleveland,” “Benched,” “Fresh Off The Boat” and CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND.
During his spare time, he loves to read, swim, free-style dance and go horseback riding. His favorite school subjects are history, science and geography. Tsai was born and raised in San Jose, Calif. He enjoys traveling and has been to many different places in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. Tsai is bilingual and speaks Mandarin fluently. His birthday is August 5.
